ROLE: Deductions & Sales Support Specialist
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of Strategy & Business Insights
LOCATION: Burnaby Head Office (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Deductions & Sales Support Specialist to join our Sales Team! The Deductions
Specialist is responsible tracking and maintaining trade spend forecasts, accruals and actuals. Your primary
responsibility is to maintain timely and accurate processing of all deductions. You will create and maintain all
tracking documents and support annual planning processes. Your main team players will be the sales and finance teams, who you will check in with regularly to troubleshoot outstanding issues and ensure account level budgets are being tracked closely.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • You have an advanced understanding of trade spend processing and management requirements
  • You have solid organizational and project management skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, i.e., able to convey complex scenarios to nonexperts

EXPERIENCE

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in working in a similar capacity
  • You have a Diploma in Business
  • You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and is knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to quickly learn internal and external data programs and ERP systems

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Excellent task prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience with office procedures

THINGS YOU WILL DO…

  • Clear outstanding deductions to under $1m at all times
  • Maintain trade spend reports for sales, working with finance for inputs, including the monthly trade spend summary
  • Source’s back-up documentation from accounts, brokers and sales managers for old and current deductions.
  • Works with the Sales and Marketing departments to maintain and update the product information in Eccnet
  • GSI and Ecology as needed.
  • Lead monthly check-ins with the sales team to talk through tracking
  • LE modelling every quarter to understand our estimated end of year position
  • Prep and populate annual fiscal planning documents
