A lot of you asked about our almonds – we totally get it! While we’re proudly Canadian, Almonds just don’t survive our chilly winters so we need to import them. The almonds we use are grown in California as 80% of the world’s almonds come from there. This gives us a steady, reliable supply, plus it’s a lot closer than shipping from across the ocean, which means a smaller transportation footprint.
We’ve looked into European almonds too, but they’re more roasted, which throws off the creamy, smooth taste we’re all about, and come from a lot farther away. We’re always keeping our eyes peeled for ways to do better on taste, sustainability, and sourcing.
