A lot of you asked about our almonds, we totally get it! While we’re proudly Canadian, Almonds just don’t survive our chilly winters so we need to import them. The almonds we use are grown in California as 80% of the world’s almonds come from there. This gives us a steady, reliable supply, plus it’s a lot closer than shipping from across the ocean, which means a smaller transportation footprint.
We’ve looked into European almonds too, but they’re more roasted, which throws off the creamy, smooth taste we’re all about, and come from a lot farther away. We’re always keeping our eyes peeled for ways to do better on taste, sustainability, and sourcing.
Great question! Both of our Oat & Almond M*lks have been voted best-tasting in Canada (humble brag 😎), but they do have different taste profiles.
Our Almond M*lk has a nuttier taste and is a little thinner than our Oat M*lk, which has a subtle oat-y taste and rich and creamy texture.
Almond M*lk is perfect for smoothies and just-right with cereal. Oat M*lk is oh-so delish in coffee and makes for an easy dairy swap in cooking and baking.
