Cauliflower Wings

 

 

Dip into the end zone with these crispy and flavourful Cauliflower Wings – made with our Oat Original and Dairy-Free Butter, this appie is a total touchdown.


Serves: 4 – 6

Ingredients:


BATTER
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 3/4 cup Earth’s Own Oat Original
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp paprika


BREADING
• 4 1/2 cups panko
• 4 tsps garlic powder
• 4 tsps onion powder
• 2 tsp paprika


BUFFALO SAUCE
• 1 cup Franks RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce
• 1 1/4 cup Earth’s Own Dairy-Free Butter


OTHER
• 1 large (or two small) head of cauliflower
• 1/2 tbsp olive oil
• Plant-based ranch dressing

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F
2. Pull your cauliflower apart into medium size floret
3. Prep your breadcrumbs by placing all the ingredients into a blender and pulsing until you have a fine crumb. Place it into a bowl and set aside.
4. Add all the flour, Earth’s Own Oat Original, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika (batter ingredients) into a large bowl and mix well.
5. Mix the florets in the batter (shake off excess batter) and then dip straight into the breadcrumb mixture. Once florets are coated, place on an oiled parchment paper baking sheet.
6. Pop the wings in the oven for 25 minutes.
7. While cauliflower wings are baking, pour buffalo sauce ingredients into a saucepan and simmer, then set aside.
8. Take the wings out of the oven and place the buffalo sauce into a large bowl along with the wings. Mix until fully coated and transfer them back to the baking sheet. Ensure all the wings are evenly coated.
9. Place the wings back into the oven for another 15 minutes or until the sauce has soaked in – you also want the outsides to be crisp! Then broil for another 5 minutes.
10. Serve it up with your fav vegan ranch dressing and get to dippin’
