Vegan Mac n’ Cheese

Oh-so-creamy n’ cheesy, this vegan mac n’cheese is oat-liciously good. Especially since it’s made with our Oat Original and Dairy-Free Butter, what’s not to love!

  • 500g elbow macaroni or tortiglioni
  • 3 cups Earth’s Own Oat Original
  • 1/3 cup Earth’s Own Dairy-Free Butter
  • 3 cups plant-based shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric (for colour)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper


  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the Earth’s Own Dairy-Free Butter over medium heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, whisk in flour to form a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Gradually pour in the Earth’s Own Oat Original, whisking constantly to prevent any lumps.
  4. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the plant-based shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  7. Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and stir until fully coated.
  8. Serve your mac n’ cheese topped with some fresh chives, grab a fork and enjoy!
