Oat Nog Apple Fritters

Apple-y ever after starts with these Oat Nog apple fritters! Baked with holiday spice and everything nice, they’re a festive plant-based delight! 

Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups + 2 tbsps white flour
  • 2 tbsps granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsps applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 inches vegetable oil (for frying)
OAT NOG GLAZE

Directions

  1. Preheat a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Add Earth’s Own Dairy-Free butter and apples to the pan, and cook for about 3 minutes until the apples start to soften.
  3. Add brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the apples are tender and coated in the sugar mixture.
  4. Remove from heat and set the apples aside to cool.
  5. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together Earth’s Own Oat Nog, applesauce, and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients, to the wet ingredients then fold in diced apples.
  7. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once it’s nice and hot, scoop 1/4 cup of batter and drop it into the hot oil, Fry for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on a baking rack.
  8. Let cool before glazing.
  9. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar and Earth’s Own Oat Nog until smooth.
  10. Dip each fritter once on each side, then repeat to give them a second coating.
