Spiced Pear Oat Nog Loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled and chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
TOPPINGS
  • 1 pear, chopped
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine Earth’s Own Oat Nog, melted Earth’s Own Dairy-Free Butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, gently stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced pears and chopped walnuts.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. For the topping, mix the pear, walnuts, and brown sugar, then sprinkle it evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake the loaf for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
