Amylase is a natural enzyme that breaks down the starches in our oats to a simple sugar. This is what gives our oat m*lk that signature creamy and delish flavour. The amylase comes from microbial extraction and is totally vegan friendly.
We had a period where our Oat M*lk was oil-free, but we heard that our plant-based fam missed the old flavour of our Oat M*lk. So, we experimented in our kitchen and found that sunflower oil adds amazing flavour & creaminess. It was a thoughtful choice after listening to our consumers. Although oat makes a naturally creamy plant-based m*lk, the addition of fat helps us achieve the creaminess and all around deliciousness we want. And… we are super proud that our Oat M*lk is voted best tasting Oat M*lk in Canada. Go oats!
